Golie Fight at Center Ice After Massive Brawl Breaks Loose
11-1 Loss Marks the End of the Season for Regina Pats
Regina, SK - March 24, 2024
In a wild and chaotic end to the 2023-24 season, the Regina Pats suffered an embarrassing 11-1 loss to the Moose Jaw Warriors on Saturday night, their final game of the season. With just seven minutes remaining in the third period and the Pats already trailing by eight goals, tensions reached a boiling point, resulting in a massive line brawl and a goalie fight between Pats goalie Kelton.
The incident began when Pats forward Adam Brooks was hit with a hard check by Warriors defenseman Josh Brook. Brooks retaliated, sparking a melee that quickly escalated. Players from both teams dropped their gloves and began fighting, while the goalies, Kelton and the Warriors' Keenan Rancier, squared off at center ice.
The brawl lasted for several minutes before the officials were able to restore order. Several players were ejected from the game, including Brooks and Brook. Kelton and Rancier were both assessed fighting majors and game misconducts.
The loss marked the end of a disappointing season for the Pats, who finished with a record of 19-49-4. The Warriors, on the other hand, clinched a playoff berth with the victory.
